My Story

My journey in to the world of hairdressing began at the age of 14 when I had my first job as a Saturday girl in a local salon in Watford, I knew instantly that making people feel great and their hair beautiful was what I needed to do for a career.

I am a freelance Hair stylist working with the team at Hive hair salon in Berkhamsted. I am a mum of two with a passion for creating beautiful hair. I decided to become a freelance stylist so I could get the balance between making my clients look fabulous but also spending quality time with my children.
I decided to start my career in the West end of London at Stephen Way hair salon. I was 16 with much to learn in life and hair but it was whilst I was there that I truly discovered who I was and achieved Redken’s “Rookie” of the year award in 2005 which then opened the door of opportunity with working on photo shoots and hair shows and events around London.
After 6 years of working in the West end I made the decision to work closer to home and joined the team at Zen in Berkhamsted, I had the pleasure of working there for 12 years it was after this I came to work with the wonderful team of freelance hairstylists at Hive.
It is safe to say I enjoy all aspects of my job, from giving advice on every day services like colouring and cutting, to advising brides to be on their dream hair for their special day. I aim to create a style that my clients will find easy and enjoyable to maintain at home.

So that’s my story from then to now…

Over 20 years in and 2 babies later I’m still as passionate about my clients and their hair like the first day it all began!
